Casio XJ-ST155 Projector Overview

Casio has designed the XJ-ST155 to be a very economical choice for business use and education. Its light emitting technology is impressive. Rated at approximately 20,000 hours of lamp life the XJ-ST155 can definitely save educators a lot of money over time. The native resolution of the XJ-ST155 is XGA(1024×768) and it produces a rated light output of 3000 lumens. It uses a Casio Laser and LED Hybrid lamp. Its projection system is DLP.

The projector is definitely not ultra micro by any means, in fact, it is quite large compared to most projectors in its class weighing in at over 15 pounds, but I don’t see a lot of situations where you will be moving this type of projector around often. Its best application is going to be permanent install in a conference room or classroom.

The Casio XJ-ST155 is a short throw projector as well. Not to be confused with ultra short throw projectors. You can achieve a fairly large image placing the projector about 3 to 4 feet from the screen, but ultra short throw projectors can achieve the same size image at just a foot or two from the screen.

As for all the sources the projector can accept, you name it, it can do it. It truly is a projector designed to be simple enough for anyone to use, but capable and complex enough for an IT staff to control and monitor all the projectors functions from across campus or from any computer hooked up to the network. Read on to get a more in-depth look at this projectors image quality, performance and its physical characteristics.
