EPSON BRIGHTLINK PRO 1410Wi PROJECTOR: This ultra-short throw projector is Epson’s flagship interactive, geared for serious presentation work in corporate boardrooms, and training rooms. Extremely capable!
This projector review looks at what may be the most versatile interactive projector on the market today – Epson’s Brightlink Pro 1410 Wi.
Click to Enlarge. So close. I could almost call the Epson Brightlink Pro 1410Wi a “concept” projector, except that the Brightlink Pro 1410Wi is a very real projector that’s been shipping for a few months. What is it, you ask? It starts out as one of Epson’s ultra-short throw projectors. When I say ultra-short throw, in this case, it truly sits only a few inches from the screen – or rather white-board wall.
Click to Enlarge. So close. Perhaps the unique aspect of this Epson projector is the smallish Control Pad (about 6×5 inches) that mounts to the wall alongside your whiteboard. Either a cable, or the IR sensors talk directly to the projector. This allows additional inputs to be conveniently connected to the Control Pad, not the projector which is high enough to be out of reach. It has many inputs and outputs, including a printer output. It will accept Display Port, HDMI, USB… We discuss the Control Pad and it’s many capabilities in the Special Features section. Certainly it addresses the key issue of making it easy for someone to come in with their own presentation sources, and easily plug in, even with the projector mounted out of reach! Nicely thought out. Did I mention that the Brightlink Pro 1410Wi, can be mounted to a table top, or even a drafting table type setup, on an angle? You bet, in fact we did just that, use the table top mount for an angled setup, as you can see in the images, and the video review.
