InFocus says is a “short throw projector combines short throw, widescreen resolution, high brightness, networking and low cost – making it perfect for the classroom, office or other tight space.” If offers WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) along with extensive networking and multimedia capabilities.
A mighty boast. Let’s see if it lives up to their description!
The IN126STa is a compact short throw projector that is rated at a bright 3300 lumens of light output. It includes extensive networking capabilities with a wired LAN connection (RJ45, Ethernet) built-in and an optional Wi-Fi adapter available. It also supports Crestron Roomview(TM) and eControl(TM).
The projector can be controlled via the network and also the network can be used to deliver presentations/photos/videos/etc. from PCs or Macs on the network to the projector. Presentations can even be made from mobile devices (iOS or Android) via WiFi, with the additional of an optional wireless network adapter.

The IN126STa also supports computer-free operation for presentations, as it can display from files stored in either its 2 GB internal memory or on a USB memory drive plugged into the projector’s USB port. Supported files types include many photo, audio, video file types along with Acrobat and MS Word and Excel. InFocus also offers an optional “LiteBoard(TM)” wand that can serve as a wireless mouse for making presentations.
It should be noted, that InFocus has been one of the most successful companies when it comes to selling projectors to schools.
