Sanyo PLC-XL51 Ultra-Short Throw Projector Review

Sanyo has just announced that their newest ultra-short throw projector, the Sanyo PLC-XL51 will be replacing the Sanyo PLC-XL50 projector that we reviewed not too long ago.

This article is not an actual review, but it is based on the Sanyo XL50 review. It covers the differences betwen them, as well as taking another look at the type of applications that these Sanyo projectors are especially good for.

Sanyo PLC-XL51 Projector Highlights:

  • Shortest throw projector on the market, needs to be only three inches from the screen to fill an 80 inch diagonal 4:3 screen surface
  • Ideal for a great many specialty applications, requiring ultra short throw, including digital signage, projecting to tabletop, floor, or ceiling, working with electronic white boards, and more
  • Reasonable alternative to ceiling mounting projectors, saving money
  • 2600 lumens makes the PLC-XL51 six hundred lumens brighter than the PLC-XL51
  • Three year warranty with rapid turn-around
