Viewsonic PRO8300 Projector Overview

The Viewsonic PRO8300 is a full HD (1920 X 1080) DLP projector that is directly aimed at businesses that need the kind of sharp, small details that this projector is capable of displaying.  To this end, in addition to the high resolution, the PRO8300 is rated at 3000 lumens, a 4000:1 contrast ratio, has two HDMI inputs and a microphone input.  There is both automatic and manual keystone adjustment.  The PRO8300 features a 1.5x zoom and can project a 100” diagonal image from just over 10 feet.  While the PRO8300 is not rich in features, it provides the user with a high resolution, portable solution that is lower in price than WUXGA projectors.

The PRO8300 has very good image processing via its 10-bit processor.  Color depth is good and can be enhanced by the use of a built-in color management system (CMS).  Video noise  is kept to a minimum and the image is artifact-free at any resolution.  There are enough video and audio inputs and outputs to satisfy any situation.  Unfortunately, there is no networking ability.

The PRO8300 comes in a lightweight, compact package that enables it to be easily moved from one venue to another.  There are two built-in ten-watt (each) speakers that allow the PRO8300 to be used in most venues without external speakers.  To enhance portability, the lightweight (8.5 lbs.), PRO8300 comes with a protective travel case.
